Breast cancer stage - 3
When cancer has spread 4 to 9 axillary (armpit) lymph nodes or has enlarged. The internal mammary lymph nodes., It is called stage 3A. The primary tumor may have any size, it could mean tumor has gone bigger than 5 Centimeters and a small group of cancer cells is found in lymph nodes. Doctors say that stage 3A may include tumor size more than 5 centimeters which include 1 to 3 axillary lymph nodes or any breastbone nodes.
Stage 3 B:-
Stage 3 B means breast tumor has developed its presence in the chest wall or skin, may or may not have invaded up to 9 lymph nodes. Inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) is recognized as the different type of other breast cancer. It becomes little difficult too, usually, there is no breast lump found. IBC is diagnosed at stage 3 B or above.Stage 3 C:-
Stage 3 C means cancer has spread to 10 or more axillary lymph nodes, lymph nodes near collarbone or internal mammary nodes.Treatment
Treatments for stage 3 are similar to stage 2. If a patient has the large primary tumor, a doctor may recommend chemotherapy so that it would have shrink before surgery. Radiation therapy could have before reconstruction. According to need Hormone therapy or other therapies could be prescribed.
